URBANITIES

Architecture or urban landscape

I approach urban photography and landscape photography in a quite similar way. While the city offers less winding lines, a straightness tied to a form of utilitarianism and perhaps an unconscious attempt to create order, much like the regularity of our busy schedules, the sunlight that strikes these two geographies is the same. The shadows that envelop them stretch in the same way. If trees and horizons are the fragile witnesses of a life that doesn’t need us, the city, my city, speaks only of our humanity with all that it encompasses, both the worst and the best
